According to legend, this temple was created about 5000 years ago by a prince-priest who fled from the middle-east. It's said it was built in honour of the Goddess. Elements like the Red Temple, the egg like stones, a temple dedicated to the sun, and in turn, the moon. There are particular areas dedicated for ceremony. "It represents the peak of water temple architecture. Its proportions are so balanced (...), its geometric composition so exact (...), so rational (...), that it doesn't seem possible (...) for it to have been built around the year 1000 BC". -spoken by Sardinia's grandfather or Archeology.
This well is built around 3500 years ago, it boasts a perfect construction technique that respects a precise calendar. Every year on the days of the equinoxes, the sun perfectly illuminates the bottom of the well. And in the evenings you can catch the reflection of the moon in it's waters. More information here
ACCOMMODATIONS
*Everyone will have their own single bed within a shared room of three.
*Meals are all included from dinner on Tuesday night to breakfast on Saturday. *Except dinner on Friday night in Alghero
*Your travel costs to our sacred sites will be covered.
*You're flight and transportation from the Alghero Airport to the Retreat Center will be your responsibility
We will be staying in the wild and natural expanse of Rifugio Del Mar in Punta Giglio, Sardinia.
